Vodafone Gold Coast 600

Vodafone Gold Coast 600

I was at the Gold Coast 600 over the weekend to have a meet and great with Chaz Mostert.
My first time at the event it was fantastic, atmosphere was great only issue was lack of seats so bring your own!

Our first few days was walking around the track seeing the vantage points and watching the racing. If you seen the race on TV it was a action packed event for sure.

I’m a driver supporter not a car brand support per say so the drivers i support change manufactures and i still support them, unlike some devote fans of the sport!
I have been watching V8 Superscars with my Dad for many many years, watching DJR, John Bowe, Moffat, Perkins, Brock and many more. Watching the young guys come and through the categories then become champions is great!

On Sunday the final day and final race we got in to see the behind the scenes action, the pit crew the radio operators and driver changes all awesome. I got to see the setup of screens and telemetry they monitor the cars and track with, to me its very interesting other not so much.

We got to meet with James Moffat, Will Davison, Mark Winterbottom and a few more, great guys to talk to and made the to have a chat which was fantastic. We got to walk down the pits after the race, right next to the cars just after they did 100 laps. We got a once in a life time experience but i do hope its not the last!

We had a good chat with Chaz for a short while and also Mark Winterbottom, great guys i have to say and just talk to you like a normal person. If they ever come to me for anything i would make time for them no problem.

After the race we walked through the garage to pit lane to the podium and celebrated with the teams, great experience to say the least. We kinda fell into the celebrations, right place right time.
